Chapel of Rest

The Chapel of Rest is open Monday to Friday from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm, and from 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm. We request that you make an appointment to use the Chapel so that appropriate arrangements can be made for a member of our staff to meet you.

The Chapel is multi-denominational, and has, in its time, been used by both the Muslim and Humanist religions. The beautiful wooden pews in the Chapel originally came from St Mary’s Church in Haverfordwest, and were installed in our Chapel in 1987.

A choice of music is available, from classical to bagpipes. Should you prefer, you may bring a tape or CD of your choice of music to listen to as you spend time in our Chapel in quiet reflection.

Candles are also provided for you to light in memory of your loved ones. At all times someone is on hand to assist you with any questions you may have or any help that you may require.

The Chapel of Rest can also be used by families for Funeral Services. With seating available for 25 – 30 mourners, it is an ideal setting for smaller gatherings and for those not wishing to have the extra expense of a church service. An organist can be provided if required, and there are speakers throughout the building for those who wish to play personal music during the service.
